About
Neill Menneer, BA (Hons)
Neill
trained at West Surrey College of Art where he graduated with a
distinction. After winning the Observer photographic prize Neill
embarked on his freelance career working for many top magazines
(The Sunday Times, Observer, Sunday Telegraph, Company, Harpers
& Queen, Elle) and design agencies and blue-chip companies (The
London Stock Exchange, TSB, HSBC, The Royal Science Museum).
His work has been reproduced all over the world
and his work is well known through bestselling books, posters and
cards (Portfolio, Real London, Prime Arts, Ktwo). Neill has also
had many one-man photographic exhibitions (Pyromania @ The Cylinder
Gallery, Seed @ The Coningsby Gallery and Prints @ The Hot Bath
Gallery) and many joint exhibitions (including Nikon and AFAEP Galleries).
Neill has recently had two books published by
Frances Lincoln. Bath
and Bristol,
City on the Edge have both been critically acclaimed with
Bath
being described as a “love letter to the City” and Bristol,
City on the Edge as having “exceptional photographs
that have a sense of drama that really brings the city to life”.
Neill has lived in (and has been photographing)
Bath since 1987. His knowledge and understanding of the city, both
photographically and otherwise, is intimate. It would be hard to
find a more suitable guide, teacher and companion for a photographic
exploration of one of England's finest cities.
