Photographic Course Around Bath
Spend the day in Bath learning how to take more interesting photographs. Ideal for beginners and keen amateur photographers who would like to learn how to move from using their cameras on automatic and taking more control. Neill will explain clearly how your camera meter works and how, why and when to use manual or the other shooting modes.

- Look at the theory of composition and help you compose your
images more effectively
- Share with you the ingredients that make the best cityscapes
- Take you to the best and most hidden viewpoints in Bath
- Guide you around the beautiful Georgian city showing you the
prime locations and how to capture their potential.
- Teach you some technical tricks including the use of filters
and lenses
- Discuss the importance of lighting and mood
- Help to clarify and explain some of the complexities of digital
photography, digital cameras and their controls
- Explore the city and increase your awareness of picture opportunities

above all enjoy the spirit of adventure!
When do the courses run?
Start time is 9:00am for an introductory talk
over coffee. We then set out on foot to visit the following locations
in the morning session: Terrace Walk, North Parade Bridge, River
Walk, Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey and North Parade Passage. We break
for lunch (and practice or shopping!) for an hour
at 1:00pm
We meet again from 2:00pm until 5:30pm. We resume our tour of the
city from Camden Crescent. Then by foot to Lansdown Crescent, Approach
golf course, Royal Crescent, Circus and Queen Square.

What do you need to bring?
- A camera. You will need your own camera, ideally an SLR. We have a few to hire at £25 per day.
- Comfortable footwear as we will be walking
for most of the day.
- Suitable clothing - consider the weather forecast
and the fact that we will be outside until early evening.
- Refreshments (entirely optional, of course)
including water and snacks.
What is the price?
£125 per person, which
includes:
- Bath: the absolute guide (popular

- Maximum 6 people. Minimum of 3.*

- You will need your own camera, ideally an SLR. We have a few to hire at £25 per day.
- 9:00am -5:30pm with lunch a break between 1 & 2.
