Portrait Course

A one-day studio and location portrait photography course in the Spirit studio in Bath.

Based in the studio in the morning, Neill will guide you through lighting a model and how to pose people to get the most flattering portraits. He will take you through the different styles of lighting from softboxes to tungsten, from high to low key and how to use backlighting and fill. During the afternoon you will go on location (weather permitting) to take lifestyle and location portraits of the model. This will include instruction in using flash as fill in lighting and creative use of backlighting and the best approach to use in different lighting conditions.

What do you need to know?

Maximum 9 people. Minimum 3.*
Cost £175 (includes lunch).
9.30am-5.30pm.
You will need an SLR camera (or hire one from us, subject to availability).
